João Ferrão
PhD from UL in Human Geography. Retired coordinating researcher at the Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Lisbon. Vice-rector of the University of Lisbon for society and local communities (2013-17). He was national coordinator of several international research projects and networks, particularly within the scope of several Framework Programs of the European Commission and the European Science Foundation. He is a member of CNADS (National Council for the Environment and Sustainable Development) and the General Council of the Polytechnic Institute of Portalegre.
