Elisa Ferreira
Elisa Ferreira is European Commissioner for Cohesion and Reforms (since 1 December 2019). Before assuming this position, she worked at Banco de Portugal as Vice-Governor (September 2017 – December 2019) and administrator (June 2016 – September 2017). During her entire term at Banco de Portugal, she was Portugal’s representative on the Supervisory Board of the Single Supervisory Mechanism of the European Central Bank. From 2004 to 2016, she was a member of the European Parliament, where she was elected three times (2004, 2009 and 2014).
